Kids use tap-to-talk, not live calls. Short chats about everyday things, and a daily time limit that a parent controls.

Questions, answered.
Is it really a live conversation?
Yes. You call Ari and talk in real time, the way you would on a phone call. Ari listens, answers out loud and shows captions as you both speak.
Can I interrupt Ari?
On an adult live call, any time. Start talking while Ari is speaking and Ari stops to listen, just as a person would. It’s one of the best ways to practise real conversation. Kids’ mode works differently: kids use tap-to-talk, so there’s no live call and no cutting in.
How do corrections work?
Ari picks out one small thing at a time, like a missing accent or a verb ending, and repeats the right form back to you. Every correction is saved in your recap for next time.
Which languages can I learn?
At launch: Spanish for English speakers, and English for Spanish speakers. Japanese, Italian, French, Mandarin and Arabic are coming soon.
How does kids’ mode keep children safe?
Kids’ mode is for ages 8 to 10 and sits behind a parent PIN. Children use tap-to-talk rather than a live call, chat only with Ari inside a lesson and see no ads. Kids default to 30 minutes a day, and a parent can switch to unlimited.
